Welcome to James P. Nelson Behavioral Healthcare, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website at https://jpnbehavioralhealthcare.com/ (the "Site") and our behavioral healthcare services, including virtual therapy for anxiety and depression, family and child therapy, trauma and stress, ADHD and behavioral challenges (the "Services"). By accessing the Site or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are using the Services on behalf of a minor or as a guardian, you represent that you have authority to bind them to these Terms.
1. Use of the Site
The Site is for informational purposes only, providing details on our virtual telehealth services for children, teens, adults, couples, families, and groups.
You may not use the Site for unlawful purposes, to transmit viruses, or to interfere with its operation.
All content on the Site, including descriptions of our empathy-based approach and service overviews, is our property and protected by copyright. You may not reproduce it without permission.
2. Services Description
Our Services include compassionate, personalized virtual therapy sessions focused on transforming challenges into growth opportunities. Specific offerings:
Individual therapy for anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and ADHD.
Family and child therapy to strengthen relationships and coping skills.
Couples and group therapy for relational and behavioral support.
Sessions are conducted virtually via secure telehealth platforms. In-home care may be available upon request for eligible clients in Essex County, NJ, subject to availability.
We reserve the right to modify Services at any time.
3. Booking and Scheduling
To book a session, contact us via email for an intake discussion.
Sessions are scheduled based on availability, with flexibility for evenings and weekends.
You agree to provide accurate information during intake to ensure appropriate care.
4. Payments and Fees
Fees for Services are discussed and agreed upon during intake. We accept various payment methods as outlined at that time. Late payments may incur fees, and unpaid balances could result in service suspension. Insurance reimbursement, if applicable, is your responsibility to pursue.
5. Cancellations and No-Shows
Cancellations require 24 hours' notice; otherwise, a fee equivalent to one session may apply.
No-shows (missed sessions without notice) will incur the full session fee.
We aim for flexibility but reserve the right to terminate Services for repeated issues.
6. Client Responsibilities
Attend sessions prepared and in a private space for virtual therapy.
Maintain confidentiality of group sessions unless required by law to disclose (e.g., risk of harm).
Refrain from recording sessions without consent.
7. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
Services are not a substitute for emergency care; in crises, contact 988 or 911 immediately (see our Resources page for hotlines).
We provide no guarantees of outcomes; therapy effectiveness varies.
The Site and Services are provided "as is." We disclaim all warranties, express or implied.
Our liability is limited to the fees paid for the session in question. We are not liable for indirect damages.
For careers or job applications, submissions are voluntary; we follow fair hiring practices but provide no employment guarantees.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any disputes will be resolved in Essex County, NJ courts.
9. Termination
We may terminate access to the Site or Services for violation of these Terms. Upon termination of therapy, we will provide records as per HIPAA.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms; continued use constitutes acceptance. Significant changes will be notified via the Site or email.
