Behavioral Assistant (BA)

Reports To: Clinical Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Behavioral Assistant (BA) provides in-home, in-school, and community-based support services to children and adolescents with emotional, behavioral, or developmental challenges. The BA works under the guidance of a licensed clinician to implement individualized behavioral plans, reinforce coping skills, and promote positive social, emotional, and behavioral functioning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and reinforce behavior intervention strategies as outlined in the behavioral assistance individualized service plan (BAISP) or treatment plan.

  • Provide one-on-one support to youth in managing behaviors, building coping skills, and increasing independence.

  • Assist youth in developing problem-solving, communication, social, and daily living skills.

  • Model positive behaviors and coach caregivers on strategies to manage challenging behaviors.

  • Collaborate with families, schools, and community providers to ensure consistent behavioral support.

  • Maintain timely and accurate session notes, progress, and observations in compliance with agency, state, and federal guidelines.

  • Participate in team meetings, supervision, and ongoing training.

  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and culturally sensitive environment for youth and families.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, or related field preferred).

  • 1 year experience working with children or adolescents with behavioral health challenges.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently, follow treatment plans, and maintain professional boundaries.

  • Reliable transportation to provide in-home and community-based services.

  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Master’s Level Mental Health Clinician (IIC)

Reports To: Clinical Supervisor/Program Director

Job Summary:

The Master’s Level Mental Health Clinician provides individual, family, and group therapy to clients experiencing emotional, behavioral, or psychological challenges. The clinician is responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans and behavioral assistance individualized service plans (BAISP), and delivering evidence-based interventions that promote mental health and overall well-being. Services are provided in accordance with professional standards, agency policies, and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans and BAISPs in collaboration with clients and families.

  • Provide psychotherapy (individual, family, and/or group) using evidence-based practices.

  • Support clients in developing coping skills, emotional regulation, and problem-solving strategies.

  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, medical providers, schools, and community resources to ensure integrated care.

  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with agency, state, and federal guidelines.

  • Participate in case conferences, team meetings, supervision sessions, and professional development workshops.

  • Provide crisis intervention and safety planning when needed.

  • Uphold ethical and professional standards, maintaining confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related mental health field.

  • Active licensure or license-eligible (e.g. LAC, LSW, or equivalent depending on state requirements).

  • Strong clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment.

  • Experience working with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and families.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

  • Flexibility to provide evening or weekend hours, as needed.

Licensed Mental Health Clinician (IIC)

Reports To: Clinical Director

Job Summary:

The Licensed Mental Health Clinician provides therapeutic services to individuals, families, and groups experiencing mental health, emotional, or behavioral challenges. The clinician is responsible for conducting assessments, formulating diagnoses, and delivering evidence-based interventions. They also provide clinical guidance, coordinate care with community providers, and ensure services meet professional, ethical, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and establish DSM-5 diagnoses.

  • Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans.

  • Deliver psychotherapy (individual, family, and/or group) using evidence-based approaches.

  • Provide psychoeducation to clients and families regarding mental health conditions, coping strategies, and resources.

  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care providers, schools, and community agencies to ensure integrated care.

  • Offer crisis intervention, safety planning, and risk assessments when needed.

  • Document all clinical services in compliance with agency, state, and federal regulations.

  • Participate in team meetings and professional development workshops.

  • Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for unlicensed staff or interns, as applicable.

  • Maintain professional and ethical standards, including confidentiality and cultural sensitivity.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related mental health field.

  • Active state license (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Psychologist, or equivalent).

  • Proven clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of diverse mental health conditions.

  • Experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and/or families in community-based or outpatient settings.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

  • Flexibility to provide evening or weekend hours as needed.
