Summer Program

High Students Ages 14 - 21 Receiving Special Education Services

The Transitional Support Services Summer Program (TSSP), housed at Cicely Tyson Elementary School in East Orange, is a structured, skill-building summer initiative designed to support students transitioning into adulthood. 

The program is open to students aged 14-21 with IEP classifications of mild/moderate intellectual disabilities across Essex County, NJ. We focus on strengthening executive functioning, social-emotional learning, life skills, and post-secondary readiness to promote academic success, confidence, responsibility, independence, community engagement, and emotional well-being.

Students will have an opportunity to engage in programming guided by NJ Transit, Bank of America, and other corporate and community leaders.

Monday - Friday
